Feijoada

Serves 1.

Ingredients:
  • 1 lb dried black beans
  • 1 lb beef stew meat cubed
  • 3/4 lb link sausage - (to 1 lb) sliced
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly-ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 x onion chopped
Method:
  • Soak beans overnight. Pour beans and water into crockpot.
  • Brown beef and sausage. Drain excess fat. Stir all ingredients into beans in crockpot. Cook on LOW for 6 to 10 hours. Check occasionally and add water if necessary.
  • Serve with rice.
