New Zealand Steamed Mussels

Servings: 4 people

Ingredients:

  • 2 kg mussels, with shells
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1 onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 2 tablespoons mixed herbs
  • 100 ml cream

  • Directions:
    1. Steam mussels in all ingredients, but cream, under cover until opened.
    2. Once opened remove mussels and pour in cream in the "mussel stock".
    3. Heat and pour over mussels.
